Eye Exam

Routine eye exams are important to catch eye conditions such as eye fatigue, dry eye issues, blurry vision, cataracts, glaucoma, and age-related macular degeneration. We recommend an eye exam annually to ensure your eyes are healthy, catch any problems early and keep your prescription up to date.

Our office is equipped with technology including high-definition retinal photography, optical coherence tomography (OCT) imaging, and computerized visual field testing to help ensure we don’t miss anything.

Alberta Health Care Coverage

Annual routine eye exams for seniors at/over age 65 and children under age 19 are covered by Albert Health Care.

Emergency Eye Care

We provide emergency eye care to patients of all ages and ensure that we have space in our day to see emergency cases.

  • Eyelid infections and swollen eyelids:
    styes, blepharitis, meibomian gland disfunction
  • Coreal Eye infections:
    red and painful eyes, bacterial and viral infections
  • Foreign body removal
  • Eye Inflammation:
    Anterior uveitis/Iritis, posterior uveitis
  • Flashes of lights and floaters:
    retinal tears/detachment, vitreous detachment
  • Acute Vision loss
  • Distorted vision
  • Sudden onset of double vision or diplopia

and Fitting

For each patient, we ensure that the contact lens options given are most suitable to your lifestyle, hobbies, and profession. We always recommend an annual contact lens exam so that we can make sure you are always in the right pair of contacts.

  • Soft contacts & Rigid Gas Permeable (RGP) contacts
  • Daily contacts & Monthly contacts
  • Antifatigue contact lenses
  • Contact lenses for Myopia Control in children

*A soft contact lens prescription is valid for one year.
